چکیده

MACBETH is an approach designed to build a quantitative model of values, developed in a way that enables facilitators to avoid forcing decision makers to produce direct numerical representations of their preferences. MACBETH employs a non-numerical interactive questioning procedure that compares two stimuli at a time, requesting only a qualitative judgment about their difference of attractiveness. As the answers are given, their consistency is verified, and a numerical scale that is representative of the decision maker’s judgments is subsequently generated and discussed. This paper makes use of the MACBETH approach and software to help an individual select his future career from a number of self imposed possibilities. A comparison is made with the direct numerical technique SMART, previously used with the same intent.

The Macbeth Approach for Evaluation Offers in Ill–structure Negotiations Problems2

This paper described the main idea of the MACBETH approach and M-MACBETH software to multicriteria negotiation analysis. The MACBETH is based on the additive value model and requires only qualitative judgments about differences of attractiveness to help a decision maker quantify the relative value of options or criteria. The main goal of this procedure is to support interactive learning about e...

Comparison of Performance of Traditional Value at Risk Models with Switching Model in Tehran Stock Exchange

The problem of portfolio optimization has made many advances since Markowitz proposed an average-variance-based optimization. It can be said that the most important achievement of the Markowitz model was the introduction of variance as a risk indicator and indeed, the introduction of a quantitative benchmark into it. This research is a model for predicting value at risk. This model extends the ...

Obtaining a possible allocation in the bankruptcy model using the Shapley value

Data envelopment analysis (DEA) is an effective tool for supporting decision-makers to assess bankruptcy, uncertainty concepts including intervals, and game theory. The bankruptcy problem with the qualitative parameters is an economic problem under uncertainty. Accordingly, we combine the concepts of the DEA game theory and uncertain models as interval linear programming (ILP), which can be app...
